Dilsukhnagar Arena's "Feel the punch" creates history!
Wins its 5th prestigious award. Races past 6 lakh clicks on You Tube.
"Feel the punch", a rib-tickling 3D Animation short by students of Dilsukhnagar Arena captured the "Best Animated Movie" award at the 2011 edition of the Annual Gateway Awards instituted by Anna University, Chennai. This is the 5th award for ‘Feel the punch’ and its continuing honeymoon with awards is a testament to the outstanding Animation training at Dilsukhnagar Arena – the undisputed citadel of Animation, VFX and Web education in India.
The victory of "Feel the punch" as the Best Animated Movie at the Gateway Awards this year is preceded by "Fuel Duel", another short film from Dilsukhnagar Arena which was the proud recipient of the "Best Animated Movie" award at Gateway Awards – 2009.
GATEWAY Awards is a National Level Media Fest. The Department of media sciences, Anna University, Chennai has been conducting the festival for the past six years. Each year, Gateway attracts participation from some of the brightest minds across the country to participate in its various competitions, workshops and talks. This year, Gateway Awards held on the 25th and 26th of February were bigger than ever.
The Contests at Gateway Awards 2011 included Animation Films, Short Films, Ad Films, Photography & Blogging while the Conferences held during the two-day festival included Workshops, Celebrity Guest Lectures & Panel Discussions.
